Open and Legal alternatives to Maine

New England has a tremendous amount of outdoors available to all of us who love to fish these lakes and rivers. For starters my home state of Massachusetts is open and free to all outdoorsmen and women, we're protected by a professional and courteous Department of Environmental Protection and are welcoming to everyone who would like to engage in the outdoors.

New Hampshire also boasts a very professional warden service and is so open to citizens that it boasts "live free of die" on every license plate. The White Mountains are beautiful and the fishing is excellent.

Vermont has one of the most courteous and helpful warden services in the nation, it is a wonderful state to engage with nature and highly recommended.

Colorado is, bar none, the best place to fish the mountains for trout, it is majestic and welcoming.

Hawaii has a deep fishing tradition and the local fish make for excellent table fare. Try renting a kayak on the Big Island or using one of the numerous guides to search for a trophy catch.
